Located in the town of Kamakura, 願掛け地蔵 Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity of treasure and prosperity, Kanezuki. The shrine's name translates to 'place of offerings' or 'treasure offering place'. Founded in the Heian period (794-1185 CE), the shrine has maintained its traditional architecture and is known for its beautiful gardens and peaceful atmosphere.

Visitor tip

Historical note
The shrine was rebuilt in 1454 during the Muromachi period (1336-1573 CE) after being damaged by a flood.
