Gami no Mikasa, or Godlight Shrine in English, is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Akita, Akita Prefecture. It is dedicated to Tsukiyomi, the moon god, and is one of the oldest shrines in Japan, with a history dating back to the 7th century. The shrine's main hall is designed in the traditional Heian period style, featuring a tiled roof and a vermilion torii gate.
