伊雜宮

One of the most sacred auxiliary shrines of Ise Jingu, this ancient sanctuary is dedicated to Amaterasu-Omikami and serves as the spiritual heart of the Shima Peninsula's rice cultivation traditions. The shrine is renowned for its annual Otaue rice planting festival, where sacred rice seedlings are ceremonially planted in the adjacent holy rice fields that have supplied grain to Ise Jingu for over a millennium. Pilgrims and visitors come here seeking agricultural blessings, spiritual purification, and to witness one of Japan's most authentic and unbroken Shinto agricultural rituals.
