As part of the Kiyomi region's cultural heritage, Fumoto Shrine is often visited by locals seeking blessings and good fortune. The shrine's stone lanterns are also an important feature in Shinto rituals, symbolizing protection from evil spirits.

Historical note

The shrine was originally dedicated to Okuninushi, but after a fire destroyed the main hall in 1920, it was rebuilt and now honors Shinto deities associated with agriculture and fertility.
