Located in the city of Echizen, Fukui Prefecture was an old location, but currently it is located in Shiga Prefecture, this shrine is dedicated to a kami named Hikoboshi or Yukihime, which is believed to be a female spirit of the dead. The shrine's architecture reflects its origins as a mountain shrine and features traditional Japanese design elements. The shrine is also famous for its autumn leaves and stunning views of Lake Biwa.
