One-day City Shrine, located in the heart of Akita city, is dedicated to the Shinto deities Oho no Kamikami and Kaminarimonogatari no Kami. The shrine is famous for its beautiful garden, traditional architecture, and unique history. Built in 1704 during the Genroku period, it has played an important role in the community's daily life and festivals.

Visitor tip

Founded in 1699 by a local daimyo, the shrine was relocated to its current location in 1704.
