Visitor tip

The shrine is famous for its unique worship of the 'Two Barbarian Spirits' (ni-ara-gami), two mythical figures said to be the protectors of travelers. The shrine also hosts a festival in May, where participants reenact a traditional battle between the Two Barbarians.
