青木神社

Ibaraki

Located in the heart of Ibaraki Prefecture, the Shiranamiyama's smaller sister is the serene and peaceful Shitennō-ji, but the more well-known, but still lesser visited, is the small, yet impressive, Shinobazu no Mika no Tani Shrine dedicated to Okamisan and others. Dedicated to Okami, specifically Okamisan in Ibaraki Prefecture, this shrine takes its name from a nearby mountain and its history dates back to 1604 when it was relocated from the old town of Mito city, which has since become famous for being the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu. The shrine is built with a traditional Japanese architecture, with the main hall adorned with elegant wooden beams and decorated with vibrant red curtains. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside and experience the tranquility of nature within its serene grounds.
