Love Shrine is a Shinto shrine in Sakura, Chiba Prefecture, dedicated to the love of Emperor Naruhito and his wife Empress Masako. Dedicated on December 23, 2019. It's the first time that an imperial couple has been deified as kami of a Shinto shrine.

Visitor tip
To show respect for the shrine, please remove your shoes before entering and refrain from taking photos inside the main hall.
Cultural notes
This shrine is associated with the mythology of Ise-Shima, and its construction is said to have been influenced by the Imperial Court's desire for a sacred space dedicated to the love of Naruhito and Masako.
