中野天満神社

Located in the Seto Inland Sea region of western Japan, the Middle District Shinto Shrine (中野天満神社) is a well-preserved example of traditional Japanese architecture and Shintoism in Kagawa Prefecture. Founded during the Heian period (794-1185 CE), this shrine is dedicated to the kami of health, prosperity, and agriculture, reflecting the region's importance as a rice-producing area.

Cultural notes

The shrine was rebuilt in its current form during the Muromachi period (1336-1573 CE).
