Akita

Tōkatsu Shrine, located in the city of Akita, is dedicated to the Shinto deity of fire and light, Hikoboshi, as well as the god of rice, Inari. The shrine's architecture reflects its historical significance during the Kamakura period, with a distinctive five-story pagoda. Visitors can enjoy traditional performances, such as Kabuki theater, and participate in New Year's festivities, known as 'Omisoka.'

Visitor tip
