Hiding Mon's Hie Shrine, located in Osaka, is dedicated to the worship of Takehaya Okami and Tsukahara Okumaya, but it is also known as the Shitennō-ji Hie Shrine, which honors the Ten Deities of Heaven. The shrine was originally constructed during the Nara period (710 CE) and has a history spanning over 1,200 years.

Cultural notes

As a Shinto shrine, Hie Shrine is closely tied to the mythology of the Ten Deities of Heaven. During the New Year (Oshogatsu) celebrations, the shrine holds a traditional festival honoring these deities. The shrine's architecture also incorporates traditional Japanese elements, such as tile roofs and vermilion doors.

The shrine was originally founded in 593 CE by Prince Shotoku, one of the most influential figures in Japanese history.
