The Godai Shrine, located in the heart of Richi City, Chiba Prefecture, is dedicated to the Shinto deity Okuninushi no Kami and other kami such as Inari Ō-no-Miya. The shrine's architecture reflects a traditional Heian-style with a vermilion torii gate and a tranquil garden. While its history is not well-documented, it is believed to have been established during the Edo period. The shrine is known for its cherry blossom viewing during spring festivals.

Cultural notes
The Godai Shrine is also associated with the mythology of the Yamato people, who are believed to have brought rice to Japan from China. The shrine's name "Godai" literally means "Five Powers," possibly referring to the five virtues: benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and sincerity.
