Located in the scenic town of Ryuhaku, Omi-Shi, Shiga Prefecture, the small Hamamatsu-ji Shrine is dedicated to a lesser-known kami named Yatagarasu. According to local legend, a bird with three tails, known as Yatagarasu, appeared at this site and brought good fortune to the area. The shrine's architecture reflects its humble beginnings, featuring a simple torii gate and a single main hall.
