Cultural notes

The shrine is closely associated with Inari Okami, patron goddess of rice and fertility. The number eight is considered sacred, reflecting the reverence for Inari who was often depicted with eight arms holding various objects. During the spring festival, a grand procession takes place to honor Inari's blessings.
