Located in the scenic town of Otaru, Hokkaido, 中ノ川八幡神社 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god Susanoo-no-Mikoto, one of the most revered kami in Japanese mythology. The shrine's name translates to 'Middle Nokan River Eight-Bend Shrine' and is believed to have been founded during the Heian period (794-1185 CE).
