The Godaijin Shrine in Tokyo is dedicated to the kami of wisdom and knowledge, often associated with the god Susanoo-no-Mikoto. Built during the Heian period, it features a unique blend of Shiro-torii gate and traditional Shinto architecture. The shrine is also notable for its well-preserved Edo-era structures and offerings to the patron deity, Inari Okami.

Cultural notes
