Visitor tip

Cultural notes
Kodai-ji Shrine is famous for its matsuri festival in honor of Inari Okami, which takes place annually on October 18th. During the festival, visitors can enjoy traditional food stalls, live music, and shrine rituals. The shrine's gardens also feature several shrines dedicated to other kami, including the enshrined deity Fujin.
Historical note
The shrine was built in 1620 during the Edo period by the Matsudaira clan, who were prominent daimyos of the time.
