Addo Shrine, located in the city of Saitama, is a Shinto shrine that enshrines the god of the soil and fertility. According to legend, the shrine was founded by the legendary god Susanoo no Mikoto, who fell asleep beneath a large tree after drinking too much sake. The shrine's main hall was rebuilt in 1893, but the original structure dates back to the Edo period.
