荒羽祇神社

Located in Akita Prefecture,荒羽祇神社 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami Prisutsunokami no Okami. The shrine's architecture reflects the Heian period style, with a distinctive curved roof and wooden beam structure. According to local legend, the shrine was built by the powerful Yamagata clan in the 16th century. Today, visitors can enjoy traditional Japanese gardens, including a teahouse surrounded by beautifully pruned plum blossoms.
