Aomori

Located in Aomori Prefecture, the Jitenmitsumano Hachiman Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Hachiman Okami, the god of war and patron deity of samurai. Cultural notes

In Shinto mythology, Hachiman Okami is believed to have visited the shrine many times throughout history. One unique feature of the shrine is its large stone statue of Hachiman Okami, known as Tamagaki, which stands over 10 meters tall.
