Visitor tip

Taisho-jinja Shrine has strong connections to the mythology of Shimane Prefecture, which is said to be inhabited by a powerful and benevolent kami named 'Taka no Kagami', meaning 'The Shining Mirror'. This legend says that if you visit the shrine with a pure heart, you will receive good luck and prosperity.
Historical note
The original shrine was founded in 1614 by Tokugawa Ieyasu, but its exact location is unknown.
