Located in the city of Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture, Sanbō-ARAHAGamiya is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of fertility and prosperity. The shrine's name 'Sanbō' refers to its association with three sacred objects: rice, sake, and copper. These symbols are said to bring good fortune and abundance to those who visit the shrine.

Visitor tip

Cultural notes
Sanbō-ARAHAGamiya is associated with the Shishigami deity, a kami believed to bring prosperity and good luck in agriculture. During the annual Sanbō Festival in July, visitors can participate in traditional dances and games, as well as make offerings to the shrine's deities.
