愛宕神社

愛宕神社 is a Shinto shrine located in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, dedicated to Amaterasu Ōmikami, the sun goddess and deified ancestor of the Imperial Family. The shrine was founded in 718, during the Nara period, as a branch of the Hikawa Shrine in Kanagawa Prefecture.
