Located in the town of Iwami, Shimane Prefecture, Ryō-gu-cho no Machi no Shintokuji is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami of the sea and the sun. The shrine's name literally means 'the palace of the dragon god'. This ancient shrine has been serving as a spiritual center for the local community since its founding in an unknown era, likely during the Heian period.
