Located in the heart of Fukuoka, Tsuenegashima Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the sea god Susanoo and the god of war Takeuchi-no-sukune. Cultural notes
Tsuenegashima Shrine is also associated with the myth of Susanoo and his sister Manabu no Mikoto, who are said to have been born on the nearby Tsuneyama Island.
