犬上神社

Located in the city of Omi, Shiga Prefecture, Inuou-dera Shrine is dedicated to the kami of the 'wolf above' or 'heavenly wolf', a symbol associated with strength and protection. The shrine's architecture reflects its historical significance as an important stopping point for the 47 Ronin on their way to avenge their lord in 1703.
