The Hikone Five-Deity Shrine, also known as the Omihachiman Shrine, is a Shinto shrine located in Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture. Dedicated to the five kami of nature - Ryujin (Dragon God), Yatagarasu (Spectacled Owl), Inari, Okami (White Tiger), and Kaminari (Thunder God) - this shrine is famous for its rich history dating back to the 7th century. It was a sacred site for the legendary Japanese warlord Oshu Masakado in the Heian period.
