Located in the Aoba-ku district of Sendai City, Tsukasa Shrine, dedicated to Tsukasa Hime, a legendary princess from Miyagi Prefecture, is a notable Shinto site. Not far away lies the famous Tamahime no Kami shrine. Tsukasa Shrine was built during the Edo period in 1845 and is one of the oldest shrines in Sendai.
