Located in the scenic town of Echizen,十二神社 (Jubushi no Mae Shrine) is one of Japan's oldest shrines dedicated to the Tsukiyomi-no-Kami, a kami often associated with the moon and fishing. Dating back to 744 CE, this shrine showcases traditional Heian architecture, with its main hall constructed from red wood and adorned with vermilion accents. The shrine complex also features several other structures, including a five-story pagoda and a large torii gate.
