Handsumya Shrine, located in Lake Biwa's Yamanaka area, is a sacred site connected to the lake and its mythology. The shrine was constructed over an old water source believed to be inhabited by the kami, Katsuragi Amaterasu Omikami. Visitors can enjoy beautiful gardens, traditional Japanese architecture, and stunning views of the surrounding Lake Biwa.
