Located in the city of Omi, Shiga Prefecture, Tarō no Iwa-dera is a renowned Tendai Buddhist temple, but its Tenjin Shrine and image gallery make it a unique Shinto destination. The current main hall, dedicated to Tenjin (Sokui), was built during the Meiji Period. Enshrined here are the deities of learning and wisdom, such as Hachiman, Fudo Myōo, and Inari Okami.
