Tsushima Island Shrine, located in the Shiga Prefecture, is a Shinto temple dedicated to the sea and its bounty. The shrine's history dates back to the Heian period, during which it was known as Tsushima no Mikoto Ise no Sei-no-Kami, one of the five divine ancestral spirits associated with the Imperial Family.
