Located in the heart of Osaka, Ishihara Shrine is a revered Shinto site dedicated to the worship of Inari Okami, the patron deity of rice, industry, and fertility. Built in 1947, the shrine's architecture reflects traditional Japanese design, with a vermilion torii gate and a serene garden. Visitors can participate in rituals at the shrine's festival, known as the Sanja Matsuri, which takes place in May.

Cultural notes

In Japanese mythology, Inari Okami is said to have created the fox spirit, Kintoki, which is often depicted at the shrine as a symbol of fertility and abundance.

The shrine was rebuilt after being destroyed during World War II.
