Visitor tip
Visit the shrine's sacred pond to make a donation of mochi (rice cake) and pray for good fortune or health, a traditional practice at Inedasaka.
Cultural notes
Inedasaka Shrine is known for its association with the god Susanoo-no-Mikoto, who is said to have created the wind and lightning. The shrine also celebrates the Setsubun festival in February, where visitors purify themselves by throwing soya beans to ward off evil spirits.
