多治神社 is a Shinto shrine located in Kyoto, dedicated to the deity Okuninushi, known as the 'God of Rice' and 'God of Agriculture.' The shrine's main hall, Haiden, features a distinctive curved roof and was built in 1887. Visitors can see a large stone statue of Okuninushi in front of the Haiden, surrounded by rice paddy-like gardens. The shrine is also famous for its beautiful autumn foliage and traditional Japanese architecture.

Visitor tip

The shrine was rebuilt after being damaged during the Boshin War in 1868.
