Located in the city of Togume, Chiba Prefecture, Ukiyodaidairi Inari Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Inari Okami, the kami of rice, fertility, and prosperity. The shrine complex features a five-story pagoda and a large torii gate, while its adjacent temple, the To-ji Temple, houses the famous To-ji Festival lanterns. The shrine has been an important center for Shinto rituals and festivals since the Heian period.

Visitor tip
To respect the shrine, remove your shoes before entering the main hall and offer a small donation to the kami at the temizuya water basin.
