Located in the city of Sodegaura, Chiba Prefecture, Sakidori Shrine is a Shinto temple dedicated to the kami of prosperity and good fortune. The shrine's name, 'Sakidori,' literally translates to 'river of abundance.' Its origins date back to the Heian period (794-1185 CE), with records suggesting it was an important center for the worship of the goddess Okami-no-Mikoto. Over time, the shrine has been renovated and expanded, but its traditional architectural style remains intact.

Visitor tip
