Located in the city of Nagahama, Dayotsu-jinja Shrine is one of Japan's oldest shrines, dedicated to Tsukuyomi-no-kami, the Shinto god of the moon and the east. The shrine is also famous for its unique architecture, featuring a traditional Japanese-style torii gate and a beautiful garden with a scenic walkway along the coast.

Cultural notes
