愛宕神社 is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture, dedicated to the worship of Amaterasu Ōmikami, the Sun Goddess and one of the most revered kami in Japanese mythology. The shrine's architecture reflects its origins as a Heian-period (794-1185 CE) torii gate, with subsequent expansions during the Kamakura period (1185-1333 CE).
