Visitor tip

Cultural notes
The shrine is associated with the mythology of the Yamato monarchy and is said to be one of the oldest shrines in Kyoto. During the spring festival, the shrine holds a traditional dance performance called 'Yamabushi Odori,' which reenacts the legend of Prince Oshisaka's bravery.
