Visitor tip
For a unique experience, visit the shrine's vermilion torii gate and take a moment to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere at the adjacent Katsuyama Park.
Cultural notes
According to local legend, the shrine was originally built on the site where Mikazuki-yama no Kami once manifested herself in the form of a white deer. During the annual Spring Festival (Matsuri), locals offer prayers and food for good luck and prosperity.
