Fukutsu Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Hikone, Shiga Prefecture, dedicated to the god of good luck, prosperity, and agriculture. The shrine's name, 'Fukutsu', literally means 'good fortune'. According to legend, the shrine was founded by Emperor Jinmu's sister, Princess Himiko, who sought the help of a local deity to ensure her family's success. The shrine is famous for its beautiful garden and traditional architecture, including the Hikone Castle, which dates back to the 16th century.
