The Ōji Hachiman Shrine, also known as Takamatsu Hachiman Shrine in Honjo-machi, is a Shinto shrine located in Fukuroi City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to the Shinto god of war, Hachiman. It was originally established during the Heian period (794-1185 CE) and has been an important location for locals seeking protection and blessings from the deity.

Visitor tip

To make a meaningful offering, please take a few steps around the shrine grounds while facing Hachiman's vermilion torii gate, then return with your hands clasped together and bow deeply at the gates.
