小松川神社

Small but serene Shinto shrine located along the banks of the Matsuda River in the city of Choshi, Chiba Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to the god of the river and fishing, and is famous for its beautiful autumn foliage and traditional architecture.

Historical note

Built during the Edo period (1603-1867) as a small village shrine, the current main hall was renovated in 1874.
