Shizuoka

The Seven Shrines of Iwatayama, also known as Iwata Sanzan, is a group of seven Shinto shrines located in Iwata, Shizuoka Prefecture. The shrines are dedicated to the deified spirits of three brothers who died under mysterious circumstances in the 16th century. According to legend, the brothers were murdered by their enemies and then cremated on Mount Fuji.

Visitor tip
