Located in the heart of Tokushima Prefecture, the Tokushima Inari Shrine is dedicated to Inari Okami, the Shinto god of rice, fertility, and prosperity. The shrine's history dates back to the Heian period (794-1185 CE), making it one of the oldest shrines in Japan. The shrine's architecture is typical of Ise-style Shinto shrines, featuring a large torii gate and a complex system of inner and outer courtyards.
