Located in the heart of Hakodate, Hokkaido, Pooland Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami, Ebisu, the god of good fortune and prosperity. Dating back to the early Meiji period (1868-1912), the shrine's current structure was built in 1885. The shrine's unique architecture blends traditional and modern elements, featuring a vermilion torii gate surrounded by beautiful gardens.
