Located in the prefecture of Miyagi,朝日神社 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Inari Okami, the Shinto deity of rice and prosperity. The shrine's name, 'Asahiyama Jinsha', roughly translates to 'Sunrise Shrine' or 'Shrine of the Sun God'. According to legend, the shrine was founded in 712 CE during the Nara period by Emperor Nijo. Today, visitors can explore the shrine's beautiful gardens and traditional Japanese architecture.
