Nakayama Shrine, also known as Naka-yama Shrine or Ifuku-ji, is a Shinto shrine located in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. The shrine is dedicated to the kami of Mount Hachiman and the legendary Prince Hachiman. The shrine complex includes a museum showcasing artifacts from the Heian period. Visitors can explore the shrine grounds, which include a forested area and a pond with a famous statue of the Eight-Eyed God, Hatafune-san.

Nakayama Shrine has historical connections to the legend of Prince Hachiman, a major figure in Japanese mythology. The shrine is also famous for its 'Naka-yama Kannon' festival, which takes place every year during spring.

Historical note

The shrine was rebuilt in 1687 after being destroyed by fire during the Edo period.
